A New Hampshire Fever Dream is a concept album created by The Bedroom Invaders after Josh suffered a series of fever dreams in April 2019 stemming from contracting the flu. The album is our interpretation of the dreams which occurred over a four day period. This album tells a story of the hero attempting to find mental safety and freedom which is ultimately only obtained in seclusion. The dreams tended to have a theme of the need to avoid mass social communication, a flawed society as a whole relying too much on technology, and finding freedom and safety by going underground. Before contracting the flu Josh and Emily spent a snowy weekend on Squam Lake in New Hampshire during the dead of winter. The freedom of Squam Lake definitely influenced the dreams as well as the album. Every sample used on this record has a direct meaning connected to the story. Interpret the album for what it means to you. This album is considered in some circles to be a political statement, however it is more a plea for finding freedom in the authentic self. Trust no one. The Truth Is Out There.
